"For decades, this former boathouse was used to store fishing gear, nets and equipment, playing an important role in local maritime life."

Elisebrygga was built in 1865 and originally served as a traditional boathouse. A few years later, it was destroyed by a violent winter storm. To rebuild it, its owner spent two seasons fishing in Lofoten, earning enough money to restore the structure.

Around 1910, it was purchased by the great-grandfather of the current owners. In 1970, the building was sold to the Mack Brewery, before being bought back by the current family in 2014.

Since then, Elisebrygga has undergone a complete transformation. Today, the historic boathouse has been completely reimagined, combining its rich heritage with modern comfort and luxury.
